A landscaping project required us to delay building a permanent chicken coop. After doing some research, I built a hoop house out of cattle panels and turned it into a chicken coop. My thought was we could make a portable and inexpensive run and roost that captured solar heat in the winter time. The end result was inexpensive and has thus far worked out well. Hopefully this video and future updates on this method are helpful to others. This chicken coop is easily moved with two people and handcarts, could house 8 hens, and uses the deep litter method.
